I had a dream

don't forget me

The place felt familiar;

I stood on the shore of the Styx.
Fear, fear, and fear clouded my sight,
I wanted to scream your name across the night,
But my voice was trapped, sealed behind my lips.
Everything I owned was slipping from my grip.

This was the end, or so I believed,
The 7 minutes of Chronos, time deceived;
I peered through the kaleidoscope’s lens,
Where everything I loved flashed, yet you were gone.

Didn't I love you more than words could clutch?
Didn't you love me as much?
Our memories, tightly held in my mind,
But in the end, why are you left behind?

Alas, I must go,
Charon waits for me on the shore.
In the afterlife, I’ll wait for you, forevermore.
